• Their last league clash was goalless in February 2001; the first time in 10 Premier League and second level games at Ewood Park that there was a share of the spoils.

Blackburn Rovers

• Blackburn defend one of the two remaining unbeaten records in the Championship, and a one point lead at the summit.

• The top scorers in the division (12 in five), are chasing a fourth win which would make it their best start to a league campaign since 1994.

Barnsley

• They have scored in all seven league and cup matches this term, but have conceded a total of eight goals from their two matches away from the Oakwell.

• Keith Hill has used fewer players than any other Championship manager (17).
